What is $18,000 to $22,000 for a boomer in retirement with no or a small mortgage. My 1950 special,needs dropping by 3 to 4',love the straight 8 but runs out of steam at 60mph. Because of mileage, and on going issues it will need, I think $16,000 buys this car, but if the seller did a great ebay auction with 45 photos, it might garner more, especially from a retired boomer with a mid 6 figures retirement fund. I then told the seller I could not pick it up in a timely manner, and he sold it locally and kept my $1,000. I called off all other options, and waited, and waited, and finally "Trulyvintage" said he never agreed to pick up the car (it was not convenient for him). I bought the car, sent him the money then arranged with "TrulyVintage" transporter on AACA forum to pick it up and deliver to Iowa. and I lost out on a 1950 Roadmaster 2 door hardtop about 10 years ago out of Dallas that was a nice project car for $1,000.
